Description

The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 126506 is a distinguished expression of Rolex's legendary racing chronograph, presented in 950 platinum with the signature ice-blue dial reserved for the brand's platinum watches. Produced in 2024, this contemporary Daytona combines precious-metal craftsmanship with advanced chronograph technology. The 40 mm Oyster case is crafted from 950 platinum and paired with a matching solid platinum Oyster bracelet. Its distinctive ice-blue dial features contrasting chestnut-brown chronograph counter rings, while the monobloc Cerachrom bezel in brown ceramic is engraved with a tachymetric scale for measuring average speeds of up to 400 kilometres per hour. Powering the watch is Rolex's Calibre 4131, an in-house self-winding mechanical chronograph movement introduced with the latest generation of the Cosmograph Daytona. The movement features a column wheel and vertical clutch, Rolex's Chronergy escapement and a blue Parachrom hairspring, providing approximately 72 hours of power reserve. The platinum Daytona also features a transparent sapphire case back, offering a view of the finely finished movement and its characteristic cut-out oscillating weight. Water resistant to 100 metres and certified as a Superlative Chronometer, the Ref. 126506 brings together Rolex's motorsport heritage, precious-metal craftsmanship and contemporary watchmaking technology.
